Awareness I Training

A four-hour awareness course designed for individuals with frequent (daily or weekly) exposure to fall hazards. Participants gain knowledge and skills necessary to identify and avoid hazards associated with elevated work positions. The course features a series of presentations, demonstrations and hands-on exercises.

Competent Person Training

This two-day intermediate level course is designed for facility and site supervisors who must also serve as the competent person required by OSHA 1926.32(f), 1926.500 and 1910 standards, as well as Canadian provincial standards. Participants are assigned tasks which require evaluation for fall hazards. The tasks are described using real-life site photos. The training provides more detailed coverage of the Fall Prevention & Protection Supervisor Training course materials and the following program topics. The course also supplies the participant with the knowledge and skills to perform the annual inspection and record keeping. (16-hour Course, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

Competent Inspector's Training

This advanced level course is designed for individuals responsible for inspecting personal fall arrest systems at the "competent person" level. The training provides experience, methodology and an in-depth look at all standards (ANSI & CSA) and regulations (OSHA) covering inspection of personal fall arrest systems.

Competent Tower Climbers Training

This training course is designed for all personnel who work on or supervise inviduals who work on towers. The training provides individuals with the required skills to safely recognize, evaluate and control hazards related to tower work. It also teaches participants climbing techniques, proper selection of fall protection equipment and how to properly setup rescue equipment and rescue a victim considering likely injuries sustained.

This course involves both multi-media presenations and hands-on workshops.
