This course is designed to train participants how to respond defensively to a hazardous materials release.

Participants will be involved in both technical training and exercises to practice safe and competent response to a hazardous materials emergency.

Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction First Responder Operations Decontaminations
1-day/8-hr. course
Prerequisite: Haz Mat First Responder Operations
This course is designed to train participants to perform decontamination operations at a Haz Mat/WMD response in support of a Haz Mat team.
Hands-on training in decontamination procedures and the use of personal protective equipment allows participants trained at the First Responder Operations level to work on a decontamination team.
Those successfully completing this course can provide agencies and companies a cost-effective solution to the problem of providing an adequate number of decontamination team personnel.

Hazardous Materials Technician for Industry
5-day/40-hr. course
The Hazardous Materials Technician, Industry 40 hour class was designed to help employers train employees to the Hazardous Materials Technician level as described in the
Cal-OSHA found in Title 8 CCR 5192(q)(6)(C).
This course prepares the employee to recognize and respond to hazardous materials incidents within their facility. Following the employers safety guidelines and hazard assessment, the Industry Technician is trained to don and doff chemical protective equipment, use air monitoring instruments, perform containment and control operations, decontamination operations of responders and rescue.
This course includes a reference text, classroom presentation, table top exercises, hands-on practice and a practical application exercise.

Hazardous Materials General Site Worker
(40-Hour HAZWOPER)
5-day/40-hr. course
This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively work at an uncontrolled hazardous waste site and/or a post-emergency clean-up operation.
Hands-on emphasis is placed on the following:
• Chemical and General Safety Hazards
• Toxicology
• Chemical Protective Clothing/Equipment
• Confined Space Operations Awareness
• Spill Control
• Decontamination Operations
• Site SOP and Emergency Response
This course provides classroom and practical training designed to assist the employer train their employees as Hazardous Waste Site Workers under
OSHA Title 8CCR 5192(e)(3)(A), This course can meet the 40 hour Site Worker training requirement.
